C section stories?

I'm so scared that this c section is going to be so much worse than my first, sure, during my first they had to poke me 16 different times to get the spinal in but other than that it was a damn breeze im talking essentially zero pain at all and im always hearing these c section horror stories where ladies are miserable for months and can hardly stand 😖😣 pls someone tell me your 2nd C section experience or any c section story at all.

I had my first in November of last year, I was definitely freaking myself out with it but it went smoothly and it was way better than I thought. And my recovery time wasnt near as bad as I thought it was going to be. The first couple days afterwards were the worst for me. it's been 14 weeks now and I've only gotten pain from my scar when I started working out again

I had an unplanned csection in January and it honestly wasn't bad at all. I had also heard a lot of horror stories about csections but i was walking fine 12 hours later, only taking motrin, and had minimal soreness.

People often have a terrible c/section story when they have gone through a difficult, long labour which then ended in a c/section rather than a planned section which is so much more calm. I’ll be having a planned section this time for my third baby, my second was a very difficult forceps vbac which I have zero interest in experiencing again, my epidural didn’t work at all and I must have been poked 30+ times by several different people and no one could make it work so this time I’ll be seeing the anaesthesiologist prior for a trial run before the big show, maybe an assessment from an anaesthesiologist is something that could help make you feel better too?

I can’t say one of mine was better than the other. All I can say is they were different. My first was due to baby being too to come down any further. So not planned or ermergent. My second was planned. They were both pretty laid back. I feel like I had pain for longer with my second, but I was able to do more. My pain with my second had me taking pain meds where with my first I only took something for pain once after coming home. I also bled longer with my second. I would say overall my experience with the second was better since they let me nurse my baby while being stitched up. With my first they let look at him and get a pic and then I got to nurse once I got to recovery.

Just had my third c-section last month and it gets easier. The first emergency one is always the hardest. Just take it VERY easy during recovery, it’s major surgery and it takes a good amount of time to heal.

I had a emergency one for 1st and a planned for 2nd. And I say the 2nd was so much more better and recovered a lot quicker.

My second was 100 times easier. Recovery was faster. Overall was just a much better experience. Good luck momma.
