Hello, my name is Brittany. I just gave birth 5 days ago to a beautiful baby boy named Adonis. The day before he came in to the world I had sciatica, when I was seen in the hospital I was one cm which I was told was normal for me to be in the 3rd trimester. Over night I was still in pain but it felt like Braxton hicks and sciatica which is quite the combination. I didn’t realize it was full labor til 6am when my contractions became 2 minutes apart. On the 15 minute drive to the hospital they became less than a minute a part. In the elevator up the L&D I had the urge to push. No time to get gowned prepped or registered as soon as I laid down and my bottoms were off he was already half way out and to pushes he came out fully. It happened so fast and I was terrified. He did cry when he came out and I cried with him. 2lbs 11.07 oz he is thriving so far in NICU no major complications and fully developed heart and lungs. Our journey begins. I am new to the NICU world and need all the support I can get. Unfortunately I developed an infection and haven’t been able to see him due to being stuck here in the hospital.
