I definitely believe in God, but I have never read the Bible and don't call myself a Christian. I was going to post this in a Christian group but upon seeing some of the very awful posts in every group I found, I was reminded of why I have never wanted to call myself a Christian, and also decided that anyone I came across in those groups was not going to give me any intelligible, worthwhile response to this question. So, forgive me if this isn't exactly the right group to be posting this in, lol.

Aaanywaayyy, I have been seeing everywhere that there is some kind of prophecy in the Bible that perfectly describes the current situation with Russia and Ukraine, and that we will have a third world war and it will be so gruesome that God himself will appear or something like that. People who have read the Bible: is this true? How do you feel about it? Can you explain whats going on? Are you worried?

I also don't want to hear "I'm not worried because my god will protect me" or anything like that because it just isn't true. So many people have died in past wars, some believers and some non believers. I'm sure many of them prayed and begged God to let them live. Yet, they still died.

I've been praying a lot myself lately, especially after hearing about this. How could God let all this happen? Yes, there's a lot of evil in this world, but the ones who are paying for that when it comes to these wars are the innocent. We do not deserve to pay for the evil that others have committed. We do not deserve to live in fear because a person in power somewhere decided they didn't have enough power.

I don't mean to offend anyone with anything I've said here, this is just how I genuinely feel. I'm looking for answers to this question, and heck, maybe some comfort, because I'm absolutely terrified of what might happen next.
