Should I be concerned?

My boyfriend and I have never had this problem, but for some reason, the last time we part took in sexual inter course, white flakes were left on his penis. We weren’t sure what it was or where it was from. Does anyone have an idea of what this might be or what’s causing it? And yes I’m going to the gynecologist tomorrow but I would like to know any possibilities of what it could be.
