Hello ladies! Hopefully this is a good place to ask this question. My husband and I recently got married. The social security offices aren't doing in person appointments for change of name. I know that means I have to do a mail in application. My question for anyone who has been through this is, did you send in a certified copy of your marriage license? The woman I spoke to on the phone said they needed the original but I thought surely that couldn't be right. Also do I need to send a copy of my driver's license and birth certificate?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
