Husband irritated me

Our 17mo is starting to walk. I’ve been trying to be encouraging by cheering her on every time she stands and starts walking. Today we were at my MIL’s and she started walking on her own. I started cheering her on and saying “yay!! Go mama!!” My husband quickly whispered to me to shut up because I keep distracting her. I told him we also need to be encouraging her instead of pretending like we don’t see it! I got irritated and a little butt hurt that he told me to shut up so I got quiet and he told me “so what? You’re gonna be mad now?” And that was that. Like I’m sorry I want to celebrate our daughter every time she walks ? She’s been trying to for months but hasn’t had the confidence and she’s finally starting to! I want to cheer her on to let her know she can do it!
