Baby doesn't try to feed himself?

We did baby led weaning with our first baby with great success. It's not going as well with our June baby. He doesn't really make any attempt to grasp food and bring it to his mouth. He just cries until we feed him. He does grasp and mouth toys during playtime though... Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks!

I got on this app to write this exact post! My little guy is 8 months and doesn’t want to ever pick up his food unless it’s puff or cherrios. He will just mush it between his fingers or throw it on the floor.

I don’t have advice because my son is the biggest foodie on the planet. But I follow solid starts on Instagram and she has a lot of good advice based on research. There is info on babies refusing to engage with food too. Hope that helps
