Mom Cozy or Elvie?

Rachel

What are your thoughts? I've had the Elvie for a while and it keeps giving me trouble and losing suction so I was thinking of trying something different. The amount of times I have to check it and readjust is getting annoying while I'm at work.

I had the mom cozy and it just wasn’t emptying me. The problem is the flanges aren’t small enough for my nips. I got the silicone inserts but they weren’t any help. I really like the mom cozy at first too but after seeing the output difference in my spectra vs the mom cozy I decided to suck it up and sit down for the 20 min it took to pump. I would get at least 4 more ounces from the spectra.

Ohh ok. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Pumping usually takes me 30 minutes to get 3 to 4 oz. Sometimes on a good day it will go faster and I'll get 5. I don't want to waste more money if it might not work. Not sure what I'll do. I only pump at work 3 days a week.

How frequently are you changing parts? Full time pumpers should change parts pretty much every 30 days. The silicone pieces wear down and lose suction over time. I use lansinoh double electric breast pump though. I did not like the no cord ones like elvie.. I got practically half the amount of milk then with my lansinoh. Hopefully changing parts helps you. Otherwise I would recommend a different type of pump. They are cheaper the cordless and will probably produce more milk for you.

I do change the parts frequently. I have a regular electric pump but it's just not practical for my job. Idk I thought maybe my boobs were too big 🤣🤣 but we'll see. Most days it works really well and some days just pisses me off.
