Discharge/mucus plug

I was 29 weeks + 2 days yesterday and ended up having to go to the hospital for contractions. My doctor checked me and my cervix was closed and thick. Luckily my contractions stopped after I had drank LOTS of water. Later last night I had light pink/brown discharge/chunks for about an hour and then it went away. Today I got the brown discharge back, the nurse says it’s normal from the cervical check and can last up to 2 days after. Has anyone else experienced this after a cervical check?
