Help with sleeping
HELP!!
I know it's normal for newborns to struggle with sleep schedules and such, but how do I help my newborn go to sleep earlier?? He is just over 1 week old, so I may just be asking a lot of him.
He sleeps fine during the day in our arms or in a swinging chair. We haven't put him in his crib since it's in our room, and that's where I go to get a break to sleep while my husband watches him. His naps are less than 2 hours each, and he takes about 5 to 6 naps a day.
When it comes time to put him down at night (between 9 and 11), I feed him, burp him, change him if needed, rock him to sleep or almost sleep, and then put him in his crib. When I lay him down, he wakes back up and can't be soothed, even using a pacifier. Finally, after another feed and my husband jumping in to soothe him while I try to sleep, he finally goes down around 1 or 2 am.
