Bank account for cousin

Does anyone know if I can open a bank account for my 16(almost 17) year old cousin? I had her babysit my kids today and I gave her $60. I just learned that her dad takes whatever money she earns or receives, like for Christmas or birthdays etc.

I made the mistake of asking her mother if $60 was enough so her parents know 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was wondering if I could open her an account for teens or something so I can put the money in there. I plan on having her babysit a lot more and I’d hate to have all the money she earns taken from her.
