how do i ask my friend for my money back ?

hi everyone !

i just wanted some advice on this because i don’t wanna come off like i’m bugging or anything ..

long story short, a friend of mine asked me to borrow $100 a few weeks ago. now ’m 90% sure that it was for her outing that night cuz we were literally on the phone earlier and she was telling me that she was going out. now i consider her one of my good friends cuz we talk all the time and go out to eat, and always have a good time and what not. so i let her borrow it. ( i will post pics w/ time stamps at the end for better context ! )

a week later, we go out to eat to this place called cap’t loui which specializes in seafood. to be honest, i should have said no because i don’t eat seafood, only shrimp, so this may be where i was wrong because i coulda just said no. i also should have said no cuz i didn’t get paid for 2 weeks cuz i messed up my direct deposit from work and i had let her know prior. she had offered to pay so i agreed.

a week after the seafood outing, last friday, she asked me “was i going to pay her for when we went out?” i honestly wasn’t expecting that cuz we pay for each other’s meals sometimes .. but anyways i cash app’d her my portion of the bill.

with all that being said, i never received nor asked for my $100 that i had originally let her borrow a couple weeks prior … idk but i feel like that’s weird .. can y’all plz let me know if i went wrong anywhere and how can i ask for my money back in a way that’s not trying to be rude ? because that’s not how i am and i just feel like it’s unfair to me ..
