Mucus plug and labor?

Okay so yesterday I was having some lower abdomen and back pain I am 35 weeks and 5days. Which later I figured out were in fact contractions so I did all the things hydrated, changed, positions, tried to relax, etc and this morning I go to the bathroom and this appeared. The contractions were only 8mins apart very consistent and I woke up with them this morning about 4-5mins apart but not super painful. The most painful part is the vaginal pressure. Thoughts???
