What to do with the embryo?

For those of you that miscarried at home- what did you do with the embryo? I just had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks. At my 8 week ultrasound the baby was only measuring 6 weeks and they couldn’t find a heartbeat. I took cytotec at home this week and just delivered what I am pretty sure is the embryo. I didn’t feel right flushing it down the toilet but now I don’t know what I should do with it.

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I miscarried at 12 weeks, measuring 8 when we lost the heart beat. We chose to buy a flowering shrub, a dwarf lilac and bury it. The planter sits on our balcony.

We cremated the sack in our firepit and I have the ashes in a necklace.

Truly do whatever feels right to you. There’s no wrong answer. I miscarried at 6 weeks and didn’t know what do with it, but it passed in to the toilet so I flushed it. It was more of a reaction than thought out. But my belief is more about energy, so to me the physical meant less and I could still grieve and connect to that soul without anything more. Do what is authentic to you, I’m so sorry you’re going through this.
