Had a laparoscopic myomectomy on March 24.

What was a 2.5 hr surgery for a “softball” sized fibroid (6.5x7x7.8) turned into a 7 hr surgery with successful removal of 12cm fibroid!

Doctor said my uterus was at 16weeks.

Was up and walking right away however the pressure and pain was intense for first 24hrs.

It was located at the top fundal portion of my uterus putting extreme pressure blocking all Fallopian tube access. I’m 36yo with symptoms of pressure causing hemorrhoids, frequent urination and sometimes the inability to urinate due to pressure causing urethra blockage. Biggest fear of not being able to conceive when the time comes.

Feeling hopeful and relieved to have this behind me. Doctor was an all star and assured me the procedure was a success.
