Crib training

So my boy was born November 18th and sleeps in my bed with me. I know this is dangerous and it's interfering with my relationship. How do I train him to sleep in his crib!? I work full time as well so it's so tiring knowing he just sleeps better in my bed. Amy advice? Tips? No mean comments please.

Just be consistent. Start with naps. White noise. Blackouts shades. It’ll probably be a rough week, but it gets easier.

Sorry for jumping on this post, but Did that work for you? How did you cope with the screaming? I live in a tiny house and I really struggled to make the transition. We had blinds, noise/ literally everything you can think of and he screamed until he made himself sick

Bring the crib in your room next to your bed

Or get a bed wedge for him to sleep in when in your bed. It’s a wedge that rests on both sides of baby to prevent them from rolling toward either parent. And also prevents parents from rolling onto baby. I love mine.

What your going through is fairly similar to going from a crib to toddler bed. Like some have said consistency is key and do it when you have a couple of days off like a holiday so you can nap when you need to because the first few nights they will be up and down. Also white noise will help ease them back to sleep when they start to rouse in the middle of night it’s a familiar sound maybe start the white noise while they still sleeps in your bed so if they wake up it’s familiar and will go back to sleep. Even though I don’t bed share when we go from crib to toddler bed the first few nights I sit next to the bed or lay in it till they fall asleep then I slip out then I start to get closer to the door when I put them to bed until they finally understand just to go to their bed.

My plan was to start with naps and when I put her in the crib she slept so well so we tried again at bed time and she’s been in it ever since. Just give it a try & see how it goes. Maybe you’ll get lucky.

I started mine in a pack n play next to my bed. Then once they get used to that transfer to the crib in their own room.
