How often do you wash your kids hands?

How often do you wash your kids hands (if they are young) or have them wash their own hands? (Older)

I realize I never make my kids wash their hands at home. If they are dirty, or if we go somewhere and come back we do but at home we don’t. Is that gross?

Maybe that’s why we keep getting colds.

My kids always seem sick and I don’t know why. They have runny noses all the time. I have a 5 year old and 1 year old.

We wash her hands about 3/4 times a day and use antibacterial hand wipes in between washes if I can’t get to a sink… she fully understands rubbing hands together for hand sanitizer for about a year now… she turned 2 in November … Handwashing is honestly fun for her so I use it as like a gross motor activity too … my daughter has only been sick about 3 times since birth (I’m grateful NOT GLOATING , just offering this info since you expressed how yours seem sick often) I’m sure it contributes but I also breastfed for over 2 years so I’m not sure which contributes more or if they just kind of worked together …

1.5 years old.I wash his hands after eating, because he ate with hands (not before, because he only plays at home and sucks his fingers all the time anyway). And always after we get home from somewhere outside, wherever we went to.And I wash when he gets into trouble or something. He sometimes pulls out the trash can from under the sink, so then I wash his hands.

After playing with certain things (like paint or slime), before/after helping with cooking/baking, after going to the bathroom, before eating. If she's sick, anytime she coughs or sneezes though I'm working on cough/sneeze into your elbow (she's getting better, considering her dad never covers and no amount of reminding gets him to.) After she wipes her nose.

I'm always telling my kids to wash their hands. Especially before meals and bedtime.

I’ve washed my kids hands since they were about 4-6 months old, pretty much when they started solids. When hands are dirty, after bathroom, before and after meals, and before bed. It is a natural part of their day, so now my 3-year old will wash her own hands and my 1-year old is doing the same. Hand washing (with antibacterial soap) is the #1 way to prevent the spread of germs.

Since my daughter was about 20 months old we have her wash her hands (with help) immediately when we get home (we take public transpo and play at public parks pretty much every outing) and before every meal. My husband is admittedly a lot better at remembering to do this lol

I have a 3 year old and I will keep a washcloth with soap and water available for him to wipe whenever. I have him wash with soap and water at the sink after we’ve been out, or if he’s been playing with something messy

When we come inside from anywhere, after going potty, and after whatever random disasters happen throughout the day.

I’m constantly wiping my baby’s hands with a wet rag cause he keeps them in his mouth. (He’s 4 months old) Def should wash hands after each bathroom use & before eating.
