Postpartum spotting between cycles

I’ve only had one period since I had my EBF baby 6 months ago and I’m currently on day 41 of my current cycle. On days 39 & 40 I had some very light spotting and lower back ache, but no period. I took a pregnancy test this morning and didn’t see a line. Wondering if anyone has been through this before with returning cycles and exclusively breastfeeding
