I’ve just moved to a new city where I don’t know any 1. I don’t have any friends or relatives here so I wanted to ask the question if it was awkward to go to the theatre by your self and go to the restaurant on your own?

The first thing that I did after a break up with a five year relationship was being able to go to the movies and dinner by myself to prove to myself that I could do anything, just be careful, obviously not everyone is your friend, make sure you watch your purse, all of your belongings her cell phone etc. because the minute you take your eye off of it or somebody divert your attention, somebody can swipe it. I’m not sure what city you’re in, but anything is possible, somebody putting something in your drink, etc. just be careful not sure where you’re living, but again always be careful especially when you’re alone in a city and you have no resources or anyone to help you. ￼

It's always going to be a little awkward or uncomfortable at first because you're stepping out of your comfort zone. It is so empowering though and I definitely recommend going out to explore new places by yourself! I've moved around a lot by myself in my 20s. It really helped me discover who I was without other personalities influencing my interests/hobbies. You'll make friends the longer you're there so take advantage of alone time until then 😊. Just remember it's normal to feel uncomfortable, nervous, or awkward at first!

I would absolutely. It feels a little strange at first but it’s better than sitting home until you meet someone you are comfortable enough with
