Tongue tie question

For mama's that have had babies with a tongue tie and had it cut, did you notice a difference in the length of time it takes for baby to eat after the cut was done? If so, how long after did it take? My pediatrician said the time it takes him to eat could be cut in half, going from 45-1hr to 15-30 mins. The nipple pain was awful in the beginning of breastfeeding but it has significantly improved to where 99% of the time it's painless, I'm on the fence if he even needs it cut anymore, but if my feeding times will go down I will still consider it.
