Should i get it checked out? Dropped hammer on foot

So i was trying to hang my mirror up and while hammering the nails i for some reason thought the bed was next to me so i threw the hammer down but instead it landed on my foot. It killed. Its tender to touch and i feel some bruising but i can walk on it although its with a limp.. its a bit swollen which is probably normal. Do i need to get it checked or just treat at home?

If it’s not better in a few days after ice and resting, get it checked out. I did the same exact thing, hammer and all, thought it was just a bruise and ended up being broken.

Trust me girl. A hammer dropping on your foot doesn't hurt nearly as bad as a horse stepping on your foot. Ice it 30 minutes on 30 minutes off for a few hours at a time then use CBD and ibuprofen for pain tolerance and swelling 🥰

RICE method. I mean me being me would go to urgent care because I had a folding chair dropped on my foot and broke my 3rd metatarsal completely in half. So if you’re prone to breaking bones get checked out.
