Did you have an ultrasound at your first pregnancy appt?

No, it's not done that early here.
We get blood draws taken and fix paperwork and then a request is made to the hospital who does the scans where I live. And we get there at 12 weeks.

No during my first pregnancy because the appt was at 5 weeks. Yes for my next two because I'm at a different office now and the first appt is combined with an ultrasound since they don't see you until 8-10 weeks along.

In the US, you should expect a transvaginal ultrasound at your first appointment which is typically done between 8 and 10 weeks.

I did but only because I was first seen at 12 weeks and the doctor had a an ultrasound machine she rolled in the room. There was inconsistencies with my LMP and how far along I really was plus past miscarriages so she checked then  and there
 Normally at your first appointment you probably won't get one

So far I have had one at every visit though, the most in depth ( transvaginal) was on my second at about 8 weeks. The rest were to measure and check the heartbeat. Quick .

I did because of my age, and to check for progression/viability. There are a number of valid reasons why it didn’t happen on the first appointment… but it will soon enough:)

It just depends on how far along you are. Every doctors office is different. They can’t just go based off your last month period because sometimes that’s not accurate. I was 8 weeks at my first appointment so I got an ultrasound but if I would’ve went based off my lmp I would’ve been 10 weeks so it just depends .
