When did you baby start to sit up independently?

First was 4.5 months 
Second and third around 7 months
Feels like I've done something wrong the second and third time around, but they ended up being the earlier talkers, it's all just an independent journey!

6 months but he still can’t get into sitting position on his own and he’s almost 10 months.

My little dude only got into sitting position himself when he was one. He was very mobile and just not seemed interested in staying in one place. When I sat him up he was able to stay in that position when he was around 6 months old I think.

My 5 month old can stay in a sitting position for a few seconds at a time. She’s still very wobbly but is slowly realizing she can put her hands down to hold herself up better.

Never put my baby into a sitting position until he could do it himself at the end of month 8. He was crawling earlier than he was sitting. I believe that being active at this age is more beneficial than a static position such as sitting.

When placed, 6ish months. 
My first two kids could get into a sitting position on their own around 9-10 months. My third is 8.5 months and she can’t get into the sitting position by herself, yet.
