Am I wrong for getting mad about the way my husband discipline our 3 year old ?

Like I just feel like he expects her to know things a 5/6 year old should know . My daughter is a very picky eater . She rather have cereal then eat anything else in the house . Sometimes she will have chicken made some of a pizza . Other times she wants cucumbers, carrots and a lot of vegetables. And she cries if she can’t have those things . Instead of trying to introduce her to new foods . He sends her to her room for crying and nagging . I feel like it’s mean and it’s better softer ways to get your point across to a 3 year old !
