How was the spinal epidural.? Did it hurt when you got it?

I’m a scheduled C-section and have to have the spinal epidural did you ladies remember it hurting when you got it? Last one I got was in full blown labor and don’t remember it or what it felt like., I’m terrified of the pain.

As the other comment said, once the initial “bee sting” was over, it just felt like there was something pushing on your spine really hard, then you just wait for the numbness in both your legs. 
If you don’t feel COMPLETELY numb in BOTH legs let the nurse know, it can sometimes need an adjustment to fully numb you.

It’s not ‘pleasant’ but I wouldn’t say it’s horrible either. It’s A LOT of pressure and you just have to hold still and the nurse will hold you too. But after, they just lay you down and you wait to go numb. Take a deep breath and try to find something in the room to focus on - you’ll do great!

I got mine when I was at 5 cm and crying because of contractions, but from what I can remember it didn't really even hurt

Sharp scratch and done it didn't bother me at all and mine was full blown emergency situation x

I don’t remember honestly so it couldn’t have been that bad. What I do remember is once they laid me down, I had a loud ringing in my ears, and a feeling as if an elephant was sitting on my chest. I also got super nauseous but once they gave me medication I was good.
