It’s best to wait for ur check up so ur doctor can examine u & make sure ur completely healed internally. And, if they haven’t already, they will also discuss birth control options with u, as we are very fertile after giving birth.

6 weeks minimum. You have a wound in your body larger than a frisbee or dinner plate where your placenta detached. Having sex introduces bacteria that could cause an infection and threaten your health or even your life.

Ask your dr but I always recommend 6 weeks. 
I have been cleared with my last 2 babies at 4 weeks but I wait til at least 5 weeks.
