Can I use powder formula for my 3 week old?

I’ve been using the ready to feed bottles since my baby’s been born cause online it says that u should wait till your baby’s 1-2 months to use powder because the powder isn’t sterile I was wondering if that’s true cause the ready to feed bottles are so expensive compared to the powder is it safe if I buy the powder instead ?

Honestly I didn’t know you were supposed to use RTF for under 1 month. When we supplemented formula we used powder

We have always used powder. I have never heard of it being a problem.

In the UK we are told to boil water to make up powder formula, to make sure it is sterile. So it is safe to feed babies powder formula from birth using boiled water.
