Help! Hcg drop then rise?!

Question

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I had Hcg levels checked last Thursday and Saturday. First was 834, second dropped to 796 so I was told to wait on an impending miscarriage. No cramps, no bleeding. Today I went back (6 days after first level check) expecting it to be continuously getting lower to give myself some closure, but it was 971.

I would guess ectopic.  I’m really sorry.   I do hope I’m wrong, but that’s kinda what happens with these.  Is your doctor bringing you in for an ultrasound?   I doubt they’ll want to waste time with this. Ugh💞

Unfortunately dropping HCG is never a good outcome in early pregnancy.

Could be an ectopic or incomplete miscarriage.

Could possible be an ectopic.  It happened to me that my levels started good, then dropped so I was expecting to miscarry. Next time I went back and my levels went up.  That day or maybe a day later I started bleeding, passing clots, cramping, I figured I was miscarrying cause I had many many miscarriages before.  I ended up going home from work, stayed home the next day from work cause I was not feeling good. Later in day I ended up having right sided lower pelvic/AbD pain. Was told by Ob doc to go to Ed to be evaluated. Sure enough ultrasound confirmed Ectopic and my tube had ruptured.
