Should I get a new camera?

Hey y’all I’m starting a bakery and was looking into getting a good camera to take pictures of products. I have the iPhone X and could use that but I’d really prefer to get something nicer. I found a nice cannon for about $400 and would love to get it but I want to make sure that it’s a good choice to get a new camera

Your iphone is honestly going to do just as good or better than that camera. You'd have to upgrade to a professional level DSLR to see much improvement, and that has a big price tag. I would put that money into a lighting setup.

I wouldn’t waste the money. Your phone will work. It’s lighting and editing you need to figure out.

It’s more about the skill of the user than the camera. I would suggest some research into different shooting techniques and a lot of practice. If you don’t know what you’re doing, a nicer camera isn’t going to help you.

I have a home bakery business and I use my phone. I have an android note 20 ultra 5G. I also bought a photo light box that I bought off Amazon and my pictures come out pretty good. I had to take screenshots of my food because glow doesn't have options to select albums or shows any pictures that are too far back.
