Heavy Flow

Ladies, I have a questions specifically to those of you who had had children. I had my son almost 2.5 years ago and my period is still not regulated and is still super super heavy and i go a full 7 days. I’m talking having to change a super or super plus tampon every hour or less and still wear a pad for most of that.. and i am so unregulated!! i sometimes have a period every month or i can go two to three months without one and then boom out of no where! is this normal? should i be worried? will i ever go back to being regulated? before i had my son i was super regular, never missed a period.
