Tubal removal and period

I had my tubes removed one week ago, my period is due, I'm having severe cramps and blood clots. Is this normal ? Most articles I'm reading are saying most women do not have a cycle until almost a month after removal? So that is concerning me , because mine was done only a week ago and my symptoms are intense?

Any advice appreciated.
