8 months PP, could I still pump and produce milk?

Question

This formula shortage is giving me anxiety and I didn’t have a good run with breastfeeding and I totally forgot that I can pump exclusively during all the tiredness and new things happening it slipped my mind. Can I even produce milk still? Is it worth it? Within 10 days we spent $150 on formula.

You could theoretically re-lactate but it’s a lot of work. I know some folks have gotten a medication to help. Google “relactation Kelly mom” for some good, data backed information about it.

I’d say go for it! 
There’s nothing wrong with latching baby and/or pumping! 
I’m still breastfeeding at 8m PP and I haven’t had to use formula since 6w PP luckily so I can’t imagine how all the mama’s are doing it with the shortage.

That C person I’m assuming is me. What you are referring to is relactation. It’s a lot of hard work but it is possible. Best way to be successful at this is get in contact with an IBCLC and work with them to get you goin.
