Moms who have no help/family members. What do you allow your toddler to do when you’re sick? I’m 7 months pregnant, child is 16 months and I’ve been letting my kids watch because I can’t play much or do anything.

I feel guilty. 
Usually we play outside, learn, he goes to day care for 1 hour at our gym 
I have a small cold and all I could do is lay down unless I NEED to do something

Don’t feel guilty for being in survival mode. When I get a cold I can’t even breathe because of my asthma so if I try even walking a distance I’ll die. So right now with my cold it’s like, eat what you want, watch what you want, we’ll play outside in a few days. There’s nothing wrong with giving yourself some grace when your body (or mind) is struggling.

I had the flu a couple months ago, I was the last to get it and got it the worst. My oldest (5) came home sick from school that day and I just could not get off the couch.  I basically made him sit by my feet and handed him the remote and iPad and said have at it. Thankfully my 2 year old was over it and at daycare that day. I was happy when the tamiflu kicked in. My doctor tired to tell me not to bother with it since it has bad side effects, I said I did not care at that point.

Im 32 weeks pregnant with #3. My other kids are 3.5 and almost 2. I let them watch tv or iPads when I’m not feeling the greatest. There is nothing wrong with having a lazy day here and there! I just try and make it up to them when I’m feeling better. We all just got over a week of sickness

If you are sick and cant move and pregnant then you better bet we’re doing some extra screen time. Dont feel bad for doing what you can mama…. Its more than enough for your baby.

For me personally I tough it out and continue our normal schedule, aside from going places. Unless I’m severely sick we play outside or in our playroom. Usually getting fresh air helps me feel better.
