Should you use multiple nicknames?

My SO and I finally agreed on a first/middle name option for our son. However, we can't agree on a nickname. He argues "why can't we just use them both?" and that plenty of people have multiple nicknames.

I think most people end up with multiple nicknames throughout their lives. And most of them are not what their parents would have picked haha

I think each of our girls has 4 or 5 😂 I think nicknames are supposed to be sweet and loving and gifted by different people sometimes and that’s okay!

My son is only 6 months old so who knows right now, but he's got multiple nicknames. Boo, boo boo, booski, booskidoo, booskidooser, chunky nugget, honeybun, Bubbies, Bubbie Dubbie my handsome buddy, Denny (his actual name is Dennis) 
My daughter, however, is 4. She knows her name is Evelyn and she'll tell you as much. She's got multiple nicknames as well. Evie. Eviebodevie, munk, munkabutt, honey bunches of munka nut, munka nut, baby bear, monkey, shmunkydunk, little mama. She's not confused and definitely knows her name is for real Evelyn. That's how she introduces herself. Hi, I'm Evelyn.

My daughter's name is Noa. She likes to introduce herself by her full name complete with surname. Her nickname has always been Pingu since before birth. But I also call her chicken butt. I think kids end up with multiple nicknames

My daughter’s name is Eloise, her main nickname is Ellie, and can be shortened to Elle when she’s older if she wants to, but we call her many variations of both those nicknames like “Elle Belle” and other random nicknames like “little nugget” so I definitely think multiple nicknames aren’t a problem at all.
