“The Day We Met” pt. 30

Luke, Tim & Andy were ending one of their concerts & as per usual, there were girls waiting backstage for them. Luke as married, so he left right after he packed up his instrument. Tim sat on the backstage sofa in the lounge & had one girl sitting on each of his knees. They were caressing him & kissing his neck & cheeks.

Tim: Bro, don’t tell me you’re not getting in on this action. One for me & one for you…

One girl got off of Tim’s lap & seductively walked up to Andy. Andy backed up towards the wall. She ultimately pinned him against it & started to caress his chest. Her hands went down his body towards his pants. That’s when he stopped her. Andy grabbed her hands.

Girl: Playing hard to get?

Andy: If we met a year ago, I probably would’ve played with you at all. Look, I’m sure you’re a nice girl.

Girl: I’m all bad, baby…

Andy: Ok, whatever you wanna be. I just wanna be with Ally.

Girl: I can be Ally for tonight.

Andy looked at the girl. She was beautiful, but she wasn’t Ally.

Andy: No. No you can’t.

Andy picked up his guitar & headed out.

Tim: See you tomorrow, bro.

Andy waved bye to Tim.

Andy got to his hotel room & couldn’t stop thinking about Ally. He decided to call her.

Ally was whispering when she answered Andy’s call.

Ally: Andy?

Andy: Ally? Why are you whispering?

Ally: I’m putting Tyler down for bed again. He’s been teething so tonight has been real tough for him.

Andy: Aww, poor guy. Hope he gets some rest soon that way you can rest up too. Tomorrow’s your first day of work, right?

Ally: Thanks! You remembered…

Andy: Of course.

Ally: How’s tour?

Andy: Uh… *sigh It’s uh, goin’.

Ally: Doesn’t sound like you’re having fun.

Andy: Yeah. I think I’m getting too old for this. I think it’s time to hang up my spurs.

Ally: No. You’re definitely not old.

Andy: It’s like I waited my whole life to go on tour with my band & now I’m here. It’s happening.

Ally: So what’s the problem?

Andy: I thought this would bring me fulfillment. And although it does, there’s just something I want more.

Ally: Well, what is it? What do you want more?

Andy wanted to tell Ally the truth, but he wasn’t sure how to cross that boundary of friendship into something more. He didn’t know if Ally saw him that way or not.

Andy: It’s complicated.

Ally: Try me.

Andy: Well, there’s this girl.

Ally: There always is…

Andy: Yeah, but this girl is different.

Ally: Tell me about this girl.

Andy sat back on the hotel bed with his back against the head board. He began to describe Ally to Ally without making us obvious.

Andy: She stole my heart years ago & the timing has just never been on my side.

Ally: You need to tell her how you feel.

Andy: Yeah…

Ally: Hey Andy. I’m sorry. Tyler is…

Andy: Oh no worries. Tyler needs you. Thanks for listening.

Ally: You know I’m always here for you. Have a good night.

Andy: Good night, Ally.

Ally hung up the phone. Andy was still on the line.

Andy: It’s you. I love you.
