Blood pressure and heart rate… but weird….

Over the past two weeks I’ve had 5 antenatal appointments (a mix of midwife, Doppler scans and growth scans).

Every single time I go to my appointment I have a high blood pressure reading (sometimes as high as 159/95!

My pulse is also well over 100, which they consider the margin for tachycardia. Sometimes sitting at 120.

These have been done both on a machine AND manually.

So, here’s the weird thing!

I get sent up to the assessment unit every time, and every time they make me sit there and it comes back down 🤷‍♀️ I can have a bp of 120/75 and a decent hr.

My consultant says that the best thing to do is to keep going to assessment, as one day it might not come back down. But it’s taking it’s toll on me and now I’m spending up to 5h in my day just sat with a health care person telling me there’s nothing wrong. Ive had 7 blood draws for various things and to check for preeclampsia in 14 days and my arms look like they have been tiedyed. And nothing!

Has anyone had any experience of these things going up and down so wildly?!

I’m not stressed, dehydrated, and usually I’ve been sat around waiting (sometimes for half an hour) before my bp and hr are taken. So it’s not even like I’ve walked anywhere.
