Roe v Wade is IVF supporting abortion?
What about couples doing IVF. Dr's collect and fertilize as many eggs as they can, and they "discard" the ones that are genetically not going to make it, or have genetic deformities. Is this abortion as well. Bc if you believe life begins at conception then it is abortion. My husband and I are going to have to spend 20,000 just to have a family. And i am a carrier for a deadly genetic disease. So we would get each embryo tested and use the one (or two) that are genetically "normal". I do not want Roe vs. Wade to determine whether or not we have a family. If we leave it up to chance, then the random embryo would either end up in miscarriage, still born, or only surviving a few days maybe a few years after birth. After going through everything we have i cannot handle losing another child. I've already had one miscarriage and I have been recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. I have been living with the thought of never having a baby or being a mom which is the one thing in this life I have ever wanted. Whose right is it to deny me of this? And if we pick a random embryo that is genetically deformed then we would have to spend this money all over again. Having the right to start a family through IVF is our ONLY option. Dr's told us we cannot conceive on our own.
I don't want this ruling to mentally hurt me more than I already am. If you don't have your mental health then what do you have? If you deny me the right to family through IVF I feel it's the same punishment as denying someone food or water. I need this. I know there is adoption and all other options than having your own, but don't deny me te only way for me and my husband to have a biological child together.
I hope this makes sense and I hope that other people and politicians keep this in mind. Would you consider IVF abortion in this scenario?
