Not sure what is happening

So tonight I was coming back home (Livinv in apartment) and how I was turning into my street I notice police car.I thought it just routine or something.but when I came to my apartment and I see officer taking stuff from apartment on second floor putting on end of stairs (basically going back and forth).My toddler started talking some gibberish with him (he sees police officer for the first time and I said that to him) he smiled said something back and we went our way.

So person who lives in that apartment is young couple with 3 year old daughter (boyfriend is truck driver and she is in school-not sure what she is going).

Could this be DV case ?
