SIL gave permission to post, she is newly pregnant and she said “I'm having some yellow brown discharge and I'm having an extended cramp that spreads to my back, do you have any idea what's going on”

What could the discharge mean? I thought infection but she said now more brown blood is coming. My friend kept saying she has to go to the ER but I don’t think so, I said to just call the doctor and be seen.
