Ironic Storytime
So I thought this would be funny to share. I have a weird sense of humor. Basically, I am a teenager. I got pregnant. We did in fact use condoms. No I don’t know what happened. Fast forward my baby is two months now (my lil monkey) and I went to my first postpartum checkup! Naturally I asked if I could do the ya know essentials eat, exercise, SEX. Cleared for em all. Although I forget the exercise thing now. I asked you know the other important thing. B I R T H C O N T R O L. BIRTH CONTROL. They give me my options, I’m limited to about 2 options as I’m partially breastfeeding, don’t want to decrease the amount anymore than it already is. I go with the birth control shot.
If you aren’t familiar with the shot the one I received was called a “depo-shot” for short, it is applied every 3 months and covers you for that period. Great option, went with it, few days later got it.
Now here’s where the trouble starts. I got my shot and I was told to wait 15 minutes in the office in case I had received an allergic reaction. Ok no problem, 15 minutes go by I’m all good. I step out of the clinic 16 minutes post shot. Feeling reallll goddamn dizzy. And the air was starting to feel a little thick. Get to the elevator go down step out and walk towards my boyfriends moms car, and all of a sudden it’s super difficult to breathe. NATURALLY, I keep walking to the car!
Car ride back home breathing getting worse throat feels worse. Getting closer to home andddddd gone. Then the RASH. First my hands then it spread up my arms, to my chest, to my hips, to my ASS. MY ASS WAS JUST BREAKING TF OUT. Then eventually I stopped scratching and it went away. Then I got the chills and my eyes were bloodshot and I took a nap and felt better! :D
So ironically, I find out now that birth control will not work on me or I suffer, so suffering or babies.😎
On a more serious note, I did eventually call the doctor about 3 days later. Doctor said no more monkeys jumping on the bed and that I should’ve come in and called earlier. Also, no more depo shot that I’m allergic to or I could die. :) THE END.
