Where is my place?

I’m 27, great family, great partner, I have a job that is financially rewarding and a dog who is my world. The last few years I have struggled to find my place in this world, I want to do more with my life but I’m not sure what or how? I feel as though I am utilising my full potential in life? Right now I find myself questioning the things I do have in my life and whether or not they are for me.

Are you volunteering, giving back to your community, it’s like a makeover for the soul. It changes your perspective on life, it makes you realize there’s more to life than just what goes on in your own homes, it makes your problems not seem so bad, it makes you grateful you don’t have to deal with what they do, it makes you realize that there’s more going on in the world, your focus in life changes. Makes you appreciate life, feeding the homeless in the soup kitchen, reading to the blind, Habitat for Humanity, whatever it may be. I know most people think that the goal in life is married with children, but it’s not for everyone. You’re not being fulfilled, you’re not being challenged, you’re not feeling like you’re doing enough in life. That’s why I think you need to start volunteering, giving back to your community, figure out your place in life that way. It’s not just yourself, it’s giving back to the rest of the world and giving of yourself, that is the purpose of life it’s not just to go to work and come home. It’s to figure out where you fit in with the rest of the world. Give them back to your community, and feeling needed. Perhaps you are Seeking religious fulfillment, perhaps you are seeking enlightenment￼￼. A change of perspective or perhaps it is children for you or adoption or surrogacy or whatever it may be fostering children, but feeling needed I think it’s what you are lacking, feeling appreciated. I am 43, I never was married, I never had children, two miscarriages, I was as close as I got. But I have always felt needed in this world because I have volunteered since I was a kid. I babysat, I volunteered at a community college I helped people problems so that’s my job. I’ve been self-employed since I was 16, mostly dealing with the Latino community, anything from reading their mail to those who can’t read, Immigration, mortgages, cleaning up their messes, doing their taxes, yes I deal with some crappy stuff like posting Bail when they get in trouble, immigration or criminal Attorneys that help me with that stuff￼. A lot of abuse and domestic cases, but on the inside they end up with the victim visas through immigration. But I think the point of life is to help people, who can’t help themselves, you do better for others and help them. I hope at the college those who do not speak English, to get them educated, do the English as a second language program, to make a future for them, and help them get status, with immigration so they’re able to get financial aid and better their future, buy a house, whatever it may be. But the point of life is not just to help Your self, it’s to help others. There’s more to life than just what goes on in your own home. I think that’s where you need to go beyond and figure out for yourself.￼

Aparently (i learned in psych), that this is super common in women ay 27 years old specifically. They think its often tied to not having children, but I think thats too limiting.
Maybe youre in a routine and youre not being challenged enough. Your partner loves you as you are, your job is stable...
