To grow hair how many times a week should you wash hair?i just

I need tips on how to grow hair! I have some split ends already cut most of my hair won’t go any shorter. I’m used to washing everyday because if I don’t I just feel dirty. What should I do on the days I don’t wash hair?

Honestly, it depends on your background. I've had to learn to care for my hair and my kids hair from social media of all places lol. I'm indigenous (chichimeca) and Spanish and Japanese while their father is equally parts Irish, black, German and Cherokee. So I've had to figure out what all those groups do to care for their hair, historically (since personal care is very white centered in the States) and play around with different combos until I found what works for everyone in my family 🥴. It was a battle for sure but we're finally seeing changes in hair and body nourishment. I've been following a lot of black creators and indigenous creators to get better insight on what works for them, it's hard to find any useful info in books or regular sites

I need to wash it every 2 -2.5 days. I can’t go longer than that. Especially when it’s sunny out. My hair has always been oily since I was a kid. I’ve tried training my hair to go longer. A good trick is finding the right shampoo for your hair. I don’t buy shampoo that has additives in it like avocado oil for instance since My scalp produces enough of that.

With the way my hair works if I want to grow I don't wash it for 2 weeks but I make sure that it has rosemary oil in it.

I used to have super oily hair and washed every single day.
I have totally trained my hair now. I wash 1-2 times a week.
I use dry shampoo at night. That’s the trick, at night!
There was a gross period of letting my hair be oily but it didn’t last long. I’m soooo happy I got to this point. My hair doesn’t really get oily anymore, more so like my scalp gets sweaty and stinky when it’s ready to wash.
