Did you put a bib on your newborn every feed ?

idk why but i definitely did not buy any bibs yet for some reason, just a fuckton of burp cloths🤦🏻‍♀️in my head baby wasn’t gonna need them till they started solids but i realized i should probably use them as newborns too since they spit up often, to avoid changing their clothes after every feed.

I just stuck a burp rag under her chin during feeds. Never used a bib

My daughter was hardly ever sick so she never really has a bib on. I would use a muslin while feeling and burping her but she didn’t need to wear one. Kind of just depends on if you have a sicky baby. She also never dribbled while teething either so also didn’t need them then

I leave a bib on the baby. Both my kids spit up pretty bad. I only take them off when they sleep.

My guy has a bib on like 80% of the time! He spits up and drools so it saves his outfits. I like the snap ones over Velcro, he probably has 15 or so.

We left bibs on my son constantly from 2 months-5ish months. He was SOOOO drooly I would have to change his onsie 4 times a day. he never spit up as a newborn though.

My girl spit up a lot in the beginning so I basically wrap her up in a blanket /large burp clothes bibs get the front but not the slide dribble. I might add a bib once she has more neck control and the spit goes just in front of her.

I hate bibs. I rarely use them. At home, we just get naked to eat (solids). I’ve never used a bib for spit up. In public, I’m just careful. Or I change clothes after. I feel like bibs are just super uncomfortable and just something else for baby to pull at and play with making a bigger mess. I don’t use bibs for drool either. We just stay naked at home during drooling phases or I just changed clothes more often.

We basically only used burp cloths so I think it’s smart to have a ton of them 😂 I think you’ll kind of figure out what works for you and baby

Yeah I did minus nighttime and only because sometimes she likes to let the milk run out of her mouth and I HATE the smell on her clothes and it stains clothing so here we are at almost 9 months and I’m still putting bibs on her
