Is it worth a private scan?

We miscarried our first baby at 10+3 and our second baby is 18 months old.
We saw this babies heartbeat at 8+1 and I’m now 10 weeks.
My 12 week scan (next booked scan) is 2 days before we go on vacation. I’m a bit nervous if we get bad news that we will be due to go away straight away. Is it worth booking a private scan this week to put my mind at ease?

You could also get a fetal doppler? I got one after a bunch of mc in a row. I only checked once a week or if i was having anxiety but it was very very calming for me.

Id say yes because where i am i can only have one support person in my medical scans. With the private one i can half four so my mum MIL and husband can all be there. Plus its a good gender reveal day haha

We do a private scan with each of our babies. 
They’re inexpensive and you can usually invite more people with you to see the baby.

They aren’t expensive, so why not! Peace of mind is priceless anyways.
