Gestational Diabetes??

My OBGYN just called me with my results from that orange drink.. and said anything under 7.8 is good but anything over needs a second test.. mine is 8.6.. did anyone else have a higher number and came out without gestational diabetes??? I was told to eat so I had a bagel with butter and a coffee with 3 sugar and 3 cream and they said that was fine???

What you eat before doesn’t determine if you have GD. It’s hormone based so you either have it or you don’t. 
Many woman fail the one hour but pass the 2 or 3 hour test.

I failed my first test by about 10 points and had to do the three hour. I was told I failed another 1 out of 4 blood draws, but overall passed that one. I’ve read it is fairly common to fail the one hour and pass the three so don’t get too down on yourself! It will likely be fine.
