Does your SO treat you better when you give him attitude

I know this is a weird question. But I think I may have realised something.

It seems like my bf treats me better when I'm not super nice to him. I noticed a pattern that when I do a lot for him and I'm very sweet he takes me for granted and doesn't really do much to make me happy and is quite indifferent to me.

But when I'm little bit upset or just off with him, he is all sweet, caring and loving.

And to be fair Idk how to feel about it. A part of me want to make him do this all the time. But having an attitude is not something I naturally do. I'm usually very sweet and bubbly with him and do my best to care for him. So trying to be less sweet is not something I'm used to.

Is this something men like ? A bit of attitude? Is a all loving gf not fun for guys ?

For context, he is 27, I'm 24, we've been with each for nearly 4 years now.
