With my first I gave birth at 39 + 6 days, was only 6 hours from due date. With my second I gave birth at 36 + 2. He ended up in a two week nicu stay.

i found out i was at risk for preterm labour at a 35w ultrasound because i was 2cm dilated and my cervical length was 
/is less than 2.5. 
when i went to my OB at 38+2, i was 3-3.5cm dilated, so she did a membrane sweep so that i could be more prepared knowing baby could come within the next couple days. 
i went into natural labour at 38+4 and had him at 38+5! 5hr labour, 28mins pushing.
