I want to move, he doesn’t - part 2

We had a conversation again about moving. He completely turned down Connecticut and New Jersey, which I was expecting. He is in total denial thinking that we can find a 1 bedroom apartment in NYC for $1,200 😑 that’s the starting price to rent a ROOM, forget an apartment. He said he’s going to start looking.. and he didn’t. He also didn’t respond to the ones I forwarded him. Now I found a beautiful apartment in Staten Island, comes with a parking spot for his working van. I work for DOE so I can work anywhere in NY and my position right now isn’t permanent so I can up and move if I want too. He is a delivery driver and he said “my work is here”.. because that’s the only delivery company right? Because you can’t literally deliver packages anywhere? Especially with having your own van..

Needless to say, I applied anyway. He can either join me or stay with his mama and her guests. And yes, he’s a huge, self proclaimed, mamas boy.

Last night I saw a mouse sticking its head under our door and then a couple minutes later, I seen it run out. I also just got back from work and my FIL left a watermelon out in the kitchen, already cut, and the rats had a lovely breakfast.
