Jerky?

Can pregnant women have jerky?? I love jerky but I haven’t had it since finding out we’re pregnant lol. If so what kind y’all recommend??

Oh gosh another thing we're not supposed to eat?? 🤦‍♀️ If we avoided every food that had a slight chance of bacteria or harm we literally (actual definition of literally) wouldn't be able to eat anything. Chances of catching listeria in any food is 0.012% (actual statistics) so extremely rare, that includes sushi. Eat the jerky IMO.

I ate biltong my entire pregnancies. I never had issues.

If it is just dried meat, I would not... But I don't know how they do it in your area. Maybe they use some method to kill off bacteria prior to drieing.

I sometimes feel as pregnant women, that the government would rather us live in a secure facility for 9 months where they controlled everything that we are or drank... it's a shame kids school/daycare food isnt as amazing as they want our diets to be...
