What excuse can I tell people as to why I’m not playing slow pitch?

I’m 5 weeks pregnant and I do not want to tell anyone I’m pregnant yet! 
We have a church game today and I’m an avid player and always play so when I go and not play, they are going to wonder why. 
I have to go…my husband plays and I already told people I’d play before I found out I was pregnant so I’m in a rough spot. 
Excuses I could use???

Just play! There’s no reason not too, unless you don’t feel well, and if you don’t feel well, say that.

You can say you rolled your ankle yesterday or that your knee hurts.

There's no reason you can play? Unless your Dr told you that. And not playing is going to bring up alot of curiosity. And you said it's a church game and you need to find a lie or excuse?? Listen to yourself 😂 just play or tell them.

You can absolutely play if you want. There is nothing about early pregnancy that would prevent it and it is not in any way dangerous. Just stay hydrated. 
If you don’t WANT to play all you have or do is say you aren’t feeling well and isn’t want it push it. Or that you rolled your ankle yesterday and it’s hurting.

I don’t understand why you think you can’t play? Unless you’re feeling sick? In which case you can just say you’re sick.

Unless your dr told you not to play or it’s a uniquely aggressive church softball league, you can play. My mom bowled league until she was 9mo pregnant. Kerri Walsh Jennings won an Olympic gold medal in volleyball when 5 weeks pregnant. Your life doesn’t have to come to a screeching halt. 
If you adamantly don’t want to play, just say you don’t feel well or you tweaked your back doing yard work.

I don’t have any good excuses, I’m sorry! But is it an aggressive slow pitch game? Could you just still play? (I played in a very very casual softball league once so I would have been able to keep playing, so sorry if this is a silly question!)
